Appdome Mobile Security Snapshot: URL Whitelisting
Protect your app with URL Whitelisting
URL Whitelisting is part of the Appdome Mobile Security Suite. URL Whitelisting falls under Appdome’s Secure Communication category.
There are a number of ways to add URL whitelisting to your app via the Appdome Platform.
Dynamic URL Whitelisting
When you are selecting the security features on the Appdome Platform for your app, Appdome can automatically populate a list of URLs, domains, IPs and proxies that your application has been configured to communicate with. This list can be added to the app as a whitelist.
If you want your app to be limited to access just a handful of known sites, you can manually enter the sites that you want your app to communicate with, and then by definition all other sites will be blocked.
Whitelisting with “Learning Mode”
Whitelisting with “Learning Mode” enabled allows you to automatically identify sites to whitelist after the fusion process. You simply run your fused app on your mobile device to determine what it needs to communicate with. The fused app will create a list of approved sites based on usage. That list can be reviewed and edited by you. You can import that list as your whitelist when you re-fuse your app.
