Appdome supports the most current versions of both iOS and Android. We also support earlier / older versions of each OS.
To use the Appdome platform, simply create an account. Once inside the Appdome Platform upload your app in binary form (i.e., .ipa for iOS and .apk for Android) for any of the following:
Compatibility and Rules for Uploading Apps
- Minimum Operating System requirements can be found here.
If you are running an OS version which is older than required, you should upgrade the OS on the device before Fusing your app. Please note that, in order to protect the service and the experience of our users, we do limit the max size of each app. Our system defaults to 300MB, but can be increased by contacting our support team. Fused app final size: Max App size (see above) + 2.5MB (fused code for both .ipa and .apk).
Sorry, Windows phone users! Appdome does not currently support the Windows mobile platform. We have successfully prototyped the Appdome service on Windows mobile platform. However, as part of our process of regularly evaluating widely deployed mobile technologies, we have not yet seen sufficient customer demand to prioritize the effort to fully productize Windows mobile.
Beyond that, here are some general questions that we often get. The answers should be helpful to you!
Does Appdome work with my apps (i.e. apps that I developed)
Yes. Appdome supports the fusion of any app which meets our mobile requirements. All you need is the app binary in either .ipa or .apk format.
Does Appdome work on enterprise apps? (i.e., apps developed by my company)
Yes. AppDome supports the fusion of enterprise apps. Same rule as above. All you need is the app binary in either .ipa or .apk format.
Does Appdome work on commercial (3rd party or ISV) apps
Yes. Appdome supports the fusion of ISV apps, as long as the ISV permits it. We want everyone to "fuse responsibly." If you have any question about whether or not you "can" fuse an app, contact the app provider. To permit use, ISVs can provide customers or Appdome with a binary in .ipa or .apk format.
Thanks for visiting the Appdome knowledge base! We hope Appdome is living up to our mission of simplifying your mobile integrations. If you don't already have an account, you can sign up for free. Happy fusing!
